The contractor laid claim to the job by starting an extensive amount of it then disappeared. We begged him to finish the job. When he finally came to do the job he worked just a few hours each time, took long lunches and was gone for days before he returned. He then presented us with a bill much larger than this original. He claimed it was due to the job being more complex. The guy works incredibly slow. I highly doubt that he put in the amount of hours he said he did. I learned an expensive lesson. I've always heard about these kind of guys, I never thought I'd be dumb enough to hire one.
