We have been taking our dogs to the Chalet kennel in Hudson for years and have always had a good experience. A few years back our dog, Buck was diagnosed with cancer after we were already scheduled for a vacation. It was heart wrenching to leave him. We explained our concerns to the staff and they took great care of him. We called while away and assured up he was doing well. He was placed in a quieter area with less dogs and softer beds to keep him comfortable. Our second dog was still young and wanted to play all the time. When we picked them up they were both happy and looked great! Buck passed away within 3 months of his diagnosis. The Chalet has earned our trust. We don't board as often, but Kiwi, our shepherd chow mix, gets frequently groomed and it is very reasonable. They include nail trimming, which is an added expense at many vet clinics ($7 if I remember correctly).
