My father resided here for five years and was given incredibly loving care. Yes, I was there 3-7 times a week, which might lead one to assume that is the only reason he was so well cared for. But everyone who lives at Jonas Ridge is well tended.



My father was private pay (expensive) while the great majority of residents are Medicaid recipients; but this facility treats residents like family and every resident is treated with respect. The facility is well staffed, the workers are well-trained and very caring, and the facility itself is impeccably clean.



One of the most important things to be said is that its medication administration is first rate. Unbelievably, not one single mistake occurred in the five years he was there, and I was very much on top of his medication regimen and would have known.



Dad resided in a very fancy assisted living in Florida, but there were so many problems with medications and neglect that I moved him close to me. I searched high and low for a good assisted living facility. I decided against Jonas Ridge initially because it was not "fancy" enough. After moving him into a relatively fancy assisted living facility in Johnson City, I incurred the same problems--medication mistakes and mild neglect. So I gave Jonas Ridge another look, and will be forever grateful that I did.



This feels like a home, not an institution, and though there is nothing fancy about it, it exceeds every requirement you might want in terms of caring for a loved one.
