Christopher Hanzaker, MD, chose to become an internal medicine doctor because he enjoys the wide variety of care options it has to offer. He also enjoys that medicine gives him the ability to develop meaningful, lifelong relationships with his patients while helping them to stay well throughout their lives. The medical field allows him to learn something new each day and help his patients.Dr. Hanzaker has special interests in treating obesity, integrative holistic medicine and musculoskeletal problems. His biggest influence in his life has been his Christian faith, family, friends and professional mentors. Outside of the office, he volunteers with his church and in the community in a wide variety of roles. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, competitive strength sports, listening to music, traveling locally and abroad, camping and southern home cooking. As a University of North Carolina alumni, Dr. Hanzaker also enjoys watching his alma mater compete in athletics. “Go Tar Heels!”I am humbled to be a part of this wonderful community and blessed to be able to practice medicine every day. It’s something I truly love doing. I strongly believe in a comprehensive, individualized medical model where the needs of my patients come first with the ultimate goal of improving their overall health, well-being and quality of life.
