Dr. Kakareka enjoys the complexity and hardworking skillset required for neurosurgery which inspired him to get into this field. He is excited about coming to work each day due to the opportunity to operate on the sickest patients and help them heal and recover. He has a special interest in general neurosurgery and treating all patients from cranial to spinal disorders.Dr. Kakareka's biggest influence in his life is his grandfather, who at a very young, age taught him the great value of being passionate about your job and always performing your best. He volunteers at his local church. In his free time, Dr. Kakareka enjoys hiking, fishing and kayaking.Practicing neurosurgery is my passion and not just simply a job. Every day, I strive my best to deliver superior care for my patients because I recognize both their dignity as well as their surgical condition.
