I brought my father to an appointment to meet with the doctor regarding his Bariatric surgery. It was important for me to go because I will be the primary care giver for my father after his surgery. The nurse said I would be unable to come back to the room because I brought my two month old baby. The nurse stated how the doctor doesn't allow to have kids in the room. My baby was sleeping soundly in his car seat and would have been no bother at all. My father suffers from slight depression and his Therapist encouraged me to keep my son around his Grandpa because it boosted his morale. I would recommend the doctor to attempt to put the needs of his patients above his own selfish preferences. My father was very disappointed we were unable to support him in this appointment.
