Andrew Kao, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiology and heart failure and transplant surgeon with Saint Luke's Cardiovascular Consultants. He is the Medical Director of Heart Transplantation at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute. He also directs the cardiopulmonary exercise laboratory at Saint Luke's. His interests are clinical cardiology, exercise physiology, heart failure, heart transplantation and heart assist devices.
