My father was a pediatrician and when I was 8, my mother passed away, so his idea of togetherness was to take me to the office, hospital and house calls. After following him around, I decided to become a physician. My philosophy of care is it should be all about patient care. The most important part of treating a patient is history and physical not lab work. You listen to the patient, and they will tell you what is wrong. Outside of work, I like to bike, kayak and deep sea dive, as well as photography and travel.
