The Kinston-Lenoir County Public Library serves the informational and recreational needs of individuals and families in Lenoir, Greene and Jones counties in North Carolina. It has a radio-frequency identification system that allows patrons to checkout materials at self-service stations. The library receives funds and grants from the State Library of North Carolina, nonprofit institutions and individuals. It offers a homebound program that focuses on serving individuals who are unable to physically come to the library due to injuries and illnesses, as well as enable them to request for materials, such as e-books, music CDs, and adult fiction and nonfiction books. Additionally, the Kinston-Lenoir County Public Library maintains online informative databases and school video catalogs.
