Now Called Mr. Tire



I have been here twice in the past few months for different issues. First, was for a check engine light that would come on for a few days then go away for a day or two and the cycle would repeat. Another local shop had diagnosed this as a failing air flow sensor ($700 repair according to them). I wanted to get a second opinion and heard good things about Mr. Tire. I brought my car here and am glad I did. They replaced the PCV hose (about $80) and no more engine light; for $600 less than the other shop wanted!



The next time I had the car in was for 2 things: leaking coolant and a gas/exhaust smell when running the heat or A/C. I dropped it off on a Friday evening and got a call by 9 Saturday morning. The mechanic had some follow up questions about the issues. After explaining it in a little more detail for him, he went to work. I got a call about an hour later from him saying he had the car up on the lift and since I only lived a couple blocks away, if I could come down for him to show me a couple things (didn't sound good to me at that point). When I got there, he showed me where the issues were and ran through 2-3 options and even pointed out another problem; one of the axle boots was ripped and leaking (could cause the axle to fail and become a serious problem). The other repairs are going to be fairly expensive so I opted to put them off for another month but plan on returning to this shop for the work.



Anyway, based on my experiences so far, I will be coming here from now on. Not only are the prices good, but the service has been excellent and very thorough. Highly recommended!
