Angel House is a collaborative project of Child & Family Services, Capital Area. The project is a combination of emergency shelter and children's assessment center, as well as helps the child victims of abuse and neglect. Opened in 2006, it offers services to children in crisis, children who have been taken into protective custody and children who are victims of sexual abuse. Located in Lansing, Mich., Child & Family Services, Capital Area was established in 1911 as the Ingham County branch of Michigan Children s Aid Society. It offers a variety of services, such as foster care, adoption and postadoption support, mental health counseling and adolescent substance abuse treatment.
