Maxco s principal activities are carried out through three business segments that include construction supplies, heat-treating products and packaging products. The construction supplies segment distributes concrete construction products and accessories, fabricates reinforcing steel and rents concrete forms used in road and commercial building construction. The heat-treating segment provides metal heat treating, phosphate coating, bar shearing and sawing services to the cold forming, stamping, forging and casting industries. The packaging product segment extrudes polyethylene film and converts it into a variety of polyethylene bags and packaging materials that are primarily used for food packaging and specialty distribution. The company, along with other third party investors, has interest in real estate and investment business. Construction supplies typically account for nearly 65 percent of revenues while heat-treating accounts for 25 percent and packaging products more than 10 percent. Maxco is located in Lansing, Mich.
