New Way In was incorporated in October 1972 as a private non-profit organization to provide comprehensive reentry programs for offenders with the goal of reducing the rate of offender recidivism. Historically, New Way In provided half way houses for men (from the early/mid 1970's - 1990), women (from 1977 - 1990) and male probationers (from 1978 - 1985). In addition, through a variety of local and federal programs, we've provided offender targeted employment services throughout our existence. Other programs operated through New Way In include a Youth Program for youths aging out the foster care system, with a focus on those adjudicated youth at a local/state facility from 1993 - 1995, and a Work First program for persons on Aid to Families with Dependent Children from 1993 - 1997.
