I went to The Camera Shop this afternoon to research for an upcoming purchase of a camera for my business. They were so helpful in addressing all my needs and questions that I purchased my camera from them today. No Big Box Store offers the help, knowledge, and attention that they do. A great Local place to shop at and buy from!

BAD BAD BAD

DO NOT GO HERE!!!



My lens was stuck on my Canon Rebel. I took it to the Camera Shop hoping for a quick repair. However, they told me that they would need to send it to their repair facility which would take 6-8 weeks. Shocked at the time it was going to take, I responded by saying that I was going to try and call Canon, because It was still under warranty and I was hopeful they could repair it quicker. The owner/manager insisted that this type of repair would not be covered by my warranty and that I would over pay for the repair. Feeling like I had no other option I handed over my camera to them. They told me they would call me in two weeks with a cost quote. 5 weeks later I finally called them and they said that they had received my camera back a few days ago and were in the processes of sending it to another repair facility because the original place was unable to fix it. They told me it would be another 6-8 weeks. I couldn't be without my camera for another month or two so I told them that I was coming to pick it up. I called Canon that day and a representative informed me that if I sent it in, and if it wasn't dropped, have water or dirt damage then the repair would be covered under my warranty and that it would only take 7-10 days!!!! I was so shocked!!! I am now waiting for my camera to be shipped back from canon and have not paid a dime!!! Please do not waste your money at this place!

Return Policy stinks

I went to this store on a Friday and spent over $100. I purchased some camera accsessories including a camera bag. On Monday I tried to return the camera bag as I had found one that suited my purpose better. The store would not credit my credit card for the return. They would only give me a store credit, The only time I have ever had to take a store credit is if I lost a receipt or my purchase was more than 30 days old. All they want is to keep my money. While now I HAVE to go spend my money it this store.....that will be the ONLY time I even go back.

Disappointed

I dropped off a camera before this first of the year for repair. The staff was friendly and helpful. They said it would take 7-9 weeks to get the camera back and that they would call with more of a quote.That was 10 weeks ago now I understand it taking extra timefor parts. However I called asking the status on the camera 4 times with no call back. I finally had to get upset with them to get a better status on it. The staff is polite on the phone and the seem willing to help but they never call back. They need to do what they say they are going to do. Bad Customer service. Hopefully things will work out.
