WebsiteLarned State Hospital is one of three state-operated psychiatrics facilities in Kansas. Its mental health care services are administered via three distinct programs: the psychiatric service program, the state security program and the sexual predator treatment program. The hospital has a licensed capacity of nearly 300 patients and includes 28 major buildings. It is staffed by psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, licensed mental health technicians, mental health aides, activity therapists and physicians. Larned State Hospital was established in 1914 and is situated on a 98-acre campus in Larned, Kan. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Provided by YPmobileWhen you need help this is not a good place. It is a glorified nursing home for mentally ill people. If you have any medical issues, even new ones that develops while in their care, it will be ignored. They are neglect to the point of malpractice in my opinion. The aids feel like they are God's and the inmates (the patient's) are scum! A lot of people leave in worse shape than when admitted.
