The Division of Parole and Probation is responsible for the protection of residents and the reduction of criminal activities. The division supervises sex offenders and gang members, as well as provides drug testing and counseling solutions. It prepares objective and informative investigation plans for drug and mental health courts. In addition, the Division of Parole and Probation develops supervision and violation reports on the conduct of probationers. The division offers community correctional services for offenders to assist them in reintegration into the community. It formulates and executes various monitoring strategies and programs. The Division of Parole and Probation operates more than 10 offices throughout the State of Nevada. The division is a part of the Department of Public Safety.
