Provided by YP.comOld Foundry toy works did a wonderful job on our antique toy doll carriage. We found them on the internet and emailed many questions before sending the doll carriage, and they were very careful with our fragile family treasure. When we got our carriage back, it was better than we could have imagined, repaired everything correctly and still kept the antique patina. My husband and I are very happy with Old Foundry and will be sending more toys to them down the road.

Provided by YP.comThey handled the restoration of my vintage Chris-Craft model speed boat flawlessly, the damaged wood was replaced and repaired in such a way that I couldn't tell that it was ever rotted in the first place! Old Foundry Toy Works has a full service machine shop there, and they were able to replicate the missing brass detail parts on the deck. They also rebuilt the antique electric motor. The finish done to the replaced wood panels matched the older undamaged areas. Everything works and looks perfect now, very well done.
The customer service there is the best in the business, always taking time to answer my questions and always in a friendly way. You just don't find people like this doing this sort of work anymore.
The only reason why they didn't get five stars was due to the wait time, which was about 5 months for my job, not too bad, but if they hire some extra help, it may speed the process up. I understand that finding skilled craftspeople for such a wide skill range would probably be difficult. I'm a repeat customer now, and I'm sure that once they are fully set up at their new building things will start to speed up.

Provided by YP.comMy husband and I entrusted Old Foundry Toy Works for our antique European carousel toy restoration. The owner was very sincere and polite and always returned any phone call that we made. The waiting list was mentioned to us by him over the phone, and that simply told us that his work was exceptional and worth the wait. Once he had a good inspection of the carousel at his building, he sent us a formal estimate for the services to be accomplished. The cost was very fair considering the amount of work that he would be spending on it, as it was in a very sorry state of disrepair, neglected by certain family members over the decades. I m so happy that John wanted to save it, as it will be enjoyed fully now and is considered a family heirloom to us. Thank you!

Provided by YP.comA few years ago, I did a search for toy restoration on google and Old Foundry Toy Works came up at the top of the list. I had called them a number of times with many questions about my tin toy battleship restoration that I was attempting on my own. The owner, Jason Spangle, always took time out of his day to answer every single question I had. By the time I realized that I was way in over my head with this undertaking, I called them once again and asked if they could salvage what was left! He never once said I told you so (and never imagined he would have) when the work came back it was exactly like I had hoped and imagined. The clockwork motor alone was a job in and of itself. It is one of the nicest antiques that I own, and they will be getting more work from me in the future.
