Macado's
30 N Main St, Lexington, VA 24450
The first Macados restaurant was opened in 1978 by Richard Macher in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. It soon became popular for its eclectic ambiance of cartoon, antique, and local nostalgic decor, as well as its wide array of hearty yet modestly-priced sandwiches, subs, and entrees.Popular with the college crowd, the restaurant opened additional locations near Virginia Tech, Radford University, and Roanoke College. Locations were added at the rate of one or two per year, including those in neighboring West Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee.Macados just recently opened its newest location in Winchester, Virginia. The already-lengthy menu has been changed and expanded over the years, and several events have grown in popularity, such as the Macados Annual St. Patricks Day Party and the Macados Halloween Party. Loyal customers have made Macados part of their own traditions as well!

Provided by YP.comGood restaurant for a small college town, but based on my experience, don't expect to get too much attention from the waitstaff if you show up for lunch and wish to eat outdoors. We did not get everything we ordered and the waitress only checked on us once... and STILL did not bring everything we were supposed to have. That whole experience was very disappointing. However, we have been at night when they were really busy and it was a whole different story. Much better then. Go figure.
