Note: This review has nothing to do with Blue Moon Fitness as a gym or my current trainer...and EVERYTHING to do with Custom Built Personal Training as an entity....



STAY AWAY! PLEASE, STAY AWAY! I signed a contract to train with Custom Built in Lincoln, Nebraska in August. Since then, my husband and I are pregnant (yeah!) and planning to move over the summer months...



After wasting my ENTIRE day dealing with unprofessional call center employees, I have been told that there are no options for me to claim my remaining training sessions ($400+ worth). I must keep paying EFT payments while I cannot train during my pregnancy....they'll just keep my money and "hold" my sessions until I can train again. It's unethical to not suspend charges while I medically cannot train, but that's a whole other angle to this company that has made me sick to my stomach...



The real kicker is this... we will move over the summer to a rural local that will not have a training center nearby. According to their own underhanded contract, "If you permanently relocate outside of a 30-mile radius from your original health club facility, and Custom Built is unable to transfer it's service to a comparable facility within a 30-mile radius of your new place of residence, then you may cancel this agreement without penalty (if an EFT client), or receive a refund, without penalty, for any unused sessions purchased by you (if you paid in full upfront). Where issuance of a refund is appropriate under this paragraph, Custom Built shall retain the value for services already provided, and/or (for EFT clients) for personal training sessions properly allocated but unused."



Custom Built will not, under any circumstances, offer refunds for EFT payments, even though they won't suspend my payments while I'm pregnant. So by the time I have this baby and move, I will have accumulated $400+ of EFT payments for sessions I medically can not use THAT I WILL LOSE FOREVER BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO REFUND EFT PAYMENTS! THEY ARE STEALING FROM ME!!!



In terms of results and measurements promised, I was never weighed or measured for lean muscle growth, etc. after my initial consultation so they had no idea if my workout was actually productive. My workout never progressed past the first month...and my personal folder that was supposed to contain an adapting workout schedule wasn't consistently updated...sometimes even misplaced. Their overturn in employees is significant. I went through two trainers in 4 months...with several "no shows" on the part of my first trainer...



PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE STAY AWAY! Custom Built Personal Training is a corporate scam! Read the online reviews before you sign...I wish I had. You won't find a compilation of reviews better than one star...and they are not BBB accredited! There are complaints on file with State of Georgia...
