Owners a Drunk & Abusive Womanizer... Yeah that's just the place I want to go hang out. I heard the Police Chief eats and drinks free... so don't ever cross the owner. He has the Police Chief in his back pocket.

Owner is a drunk who beats disabled vets, animals & women. Read about it. If that's what you consider "friendly owners", then I'd suggest therapy for yourself. The definition of Deliverance, creepy townie bar.

SHAME ON YOU FOR ABUSING A DISABLED VET WITH PTSD. YOU "WHITEY" ARE A DESPICABLE INDIVIDUAL. I WANTED TO SAY HUMAN BEING, BUT ANYONE AS STUPID AND CRUEL AS YOU ARE DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE CALLED HUMAN.

Whitey's has great food, everything is always good! We frequent at least once a week and have had everything on the menu and have never been disappointed! Staff and owners are friendly and personable. Favorites are the wings, club sandwich, steak sandwich, grilled tenderloin sandwich, and broasted chicken. They also have specials on the weekends for dinner that are tasty and affordable - Prime Rib, breaded pork chops, fish etc. It is on Highway 30, 1 mile east of Mt Vernon, only 15 mins from Cedar Rapids & 20 mins from Iowa City. They have all the Cubs and Iowa games on TV.
