Dr. Gilliam graduated from Harding University in Searcy, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed an internship and a residency at UAMS. His medical interests are in orthopedic sports medicine, particularly arthroscopic shoulder surgery. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a member and past president of the Arkansas Orthopedic Society and is a member of the Arkansas Medical Society.
