I don't know who some of these reviews point to, but I had an appointment with Isaac Gibson at the optical center today and he was fantastic. Best OD I have ever been to. All business, no nonsense. He is now the regular guy for my whole family. And you can find a $49 coupon floating around out there just about any time.

The doctor working there is to full of himself. I took a child there and he criticized that my child could not read all the letters, although nothing was wrong with the eyes, he just thought at her age she should be able to read them better. He is ignorant to learning disabilities. He also criticized my child not sitting still and said to quit moving. He should not be working with children. I paid him to tell me if my child needed glasses, not to give me an evaluation of my child's behavior and what he thinks the child should be able to do. I guess they are cheap and you get treated like it. My child is very sensitive and being criticized several times during the exam devastated her. I would not go there again. I gave one star because I had to.

Good: They can usually get you in pretty fast and are reasonably priced.

Didn't like: Used to change Doctors often. Lately they didn't and the doctor they have talks to us like we are dumb little kids. He sounds like a sales men knowing everything better without acknowledging I know my eyes very well. Just don't go well with his personality.

I love our Sams Club but never realized there is an optical department tucked away behind the photo department. When I needed a new exam I found a coupon in the phonebook for $75 for an glasses/contact exam. They had for open availability which made me nervous that perhaps this wasn't the best place. Boy was I wrong! Dr. Gibson was SO kind and thorough and even gave me 2 pairs of free lenses to try out and and see which one worked best. I was then scheduled for a followup exam to discuss which pair worked best. I have been to several eye doctors in the past 20 years and have never been scheduled for a followup exam. Its typically, just let us know if there is a problem. I ordered a years worth of my contacts. After about 2 weeks of wearing them, the lenses, Acuvue Advanced were driving me crazy! They kept accumulating deposits/spots. I called and was scheduled for an appointment the next day. Dr. Gibson explained that with a small percentage of individuals and these lenses the strange depositing happens. I was so bummed because I had bought a years worth of lenses that were non refundable. Dr. Gibson and his staff went above and beyond to remedy the situation and let me exchange for a different lens. I was so very relieved that they were kind enough to do this because I would not have been able to afford buying both sets of lenses. Dr. Gibson saw me 3 times and made sure I left with the perfect lenses. For the cheapest,most thorough eye exam I highly recommend Dr. Gibson at the Sams Club Optical in Logan. Dr. Gibson really cares about his customers and their eyes!

My family and I love to take our monthly trips to Sam's club to stock up on these we use a lot of. We especially love it when samples are being given out during our visits. My only gripe is that lines sometimes get every long and I always spend more money than I want too :)
