I recently needed some sewing work done, and had no idea where to have it taken care of in Long Beach.



I searched google, and after a lot of phone calls to different cleaners and tailors that either didn't answer or couldn't help me, I called Alterations & Design.



She told me that she'd be able to take care of it on the same day. I stopped in and explained the job and she took care of it while I waited.



Her prices were very reasonable and she really couldn't be much sweeter. Even though I have no aptitude (or frankly, desire) for learning how to sew, I was curious about all of her machinery and she showed me how she worked it. A nice touch!



It's tucked away inside a clothing store, so when you get to 5280, go inside and they'll direct you to the back of the store, where her little sewing office is located.



She only takes cash or checks, so be sure to bring either before you go. Also, she opens at 11am, so if you call earlier you'll just have to leave her a message.
