My mother has been living there about a year. The staff is trained in handling dementia patients and do an excellent job. The facility is clean, the residents are kept busy with various activities, and are shown much love and attention.

I placed my wife in this facility when it was known as Flint River. It changed to Emeritus and the Brookdale. She was in the facility over 3 years. The Executive Director of Brookdale did not issue a handbook on the rules and regulations required of the patient & facility when it became Brookdale. I asked for a copy & received it in Jan. 2016, but the booklet was not gone over with me as was required. The Executive Director was new to the job and apparently was not aware of her duties/responsibilities. My wife's Alzheimer's condition worsened and we were practically made to leave the facility on short notice about the middle of March 2016 because Brookdale could not meet her needs and was recommended to us to find a Nursing Home. We were told if we didn't get her out by April 1, 2016 our rate was going up quite a bit more than what we were paying.
