I have gone to 4 other treatment centers besides Serenity Point Recovery and Serenity was the best by far. When I started using pills I didn't think I'd get addicted to them. They were just something I did on the weekend or when I had a bad day. It took me over a year of using them occasionally to get to the point where I was using every day and couldn’t function at all without them. The first time I went to treatment I went to a detox thinking that if I could just get help getting off them then I’d be fine. That’s not the way it worked out for me and I relapsed almost immediately after finishing the detox. The next time I went to get help I went to a rehab but that didn’t help any more than the detox. Plus, I hated it there. I wanted to leave almost right away but my mom convinced to me stick it out. I didn’t want to leave so I could go get high or anything like that. I just hated it there so much. The people there weren’t very nice and they were extremely judgmental. I did finish that program though but again I relapsed almost right away. This continued for the next 2 rehabs and I was starting to lose hope that I would be able to find a place that could actually help me. When my parents and I decided on Serenity it was because of the different programs that they have there. I’d been doing the same type of program at each of the rehabs I had been to and we thought that if I had options I would be able to find the program that worked for me. Before going there I didn’t think it would be that much different than the other rehabs I had been to. I was completely wrong about that though and I ended up really liking the facility and the program. The people there are amazing. The staff are super nice and they aren’t judgmental at all. The facility as a whole is a really comfortable environment. I got to do art and music therapy which was way more helpful than I thought it would be. I just did them more or less for something to do. They were really helpful though. I got to go off the property on the weekends with some of the other clients and every time I went I had such a blast. I got to really experience how much fun I could have when I wasn’t getting high. There was always a counselor available to talk to and my parents were kept updated consistently throughout my program which was really nice for them. At the other facilities I had been to you usually have one or two people who actually care about what they are doing but they can’t do that much. At Serenity, it’s everyone. There isn’t one person working there who isn’t there to help people. It makes a huge difference. Even the other clients I went through the program with were awesome. I’ll friends from there for the rest of my life. What really matters though, is that I changed at Serenity. I don’t have any kind of desire to use drugs and I’m in control of my life again. I have life goals again and I’m actively working towards them. Serenity didn’t just help me get off drugs, they helped me get control of my life back.

I have been doing research on different rehab facilities and Serenity was by the best one I had my brother go to. He was a drug user what take anything that would keep him high. I love that he went here. The best use the holistic approach to rehab, they help people to overcome their addiction without the use of drugs, And that is amazing.you get the concept that in order for someone to be able to recover from an addiction it is not enough just to go through withdrawal, actual healing of the person, mental healing and learning needs to take place. Medication-free treatment would involve no medication at all. While withdrawal might be severe, it might also have shorter duration in a medication-free treatment program. My brother would tell me how wonderful the center was that it was a peaceful environment. The staff members are great and that they truly care for everyone and wants to see them live a healthier life and just do better. So I would recommend if you or a love one are looking for a rehab facility I would check this one out.

This is a wonderful facility, its actually incredible center.This facility has truly helped me so much. It's very well kept the rooms are so nice they have different activities to do there while they help you through your recovery as I have said. The environment is so nice and peaceful. They have different programs there to help you get clean and your life back together again. The staff members all seem so nice and caring. They are all so passionate at giving you the help you need to get cleaned your life back on track. They have great activities to keep you busy. Its a great place to heal and get your life back on track. They offer programs that suits you. The staff members are all so great. If you or a love one are looking for a great place to get clean I would recommend serenity recovery. I should mention that I have also been to different centers but serenity is by far the best. A friend of mine recommended Serenity Point Recovery for my daughter. Her daughter had gone through the program there and it has really helped her. It was hard getting my daughter to agree to go there though. It took a few months before she would agree to go but when she did finally agree to go she also agreed to really do the program there and not just blow through it without getting anything out of the program. I was really impressed with the staff there and how helpful they were to me and my daughter while she was there. I was able to talk to someone regularly about my daughter’s progress, what she was doing on her program and how she was doing in general. When she was having some trouble during her program I was informed by the staff what the problem was and I was able to help my daughter to see that she needed to stay at Serenity and complete her program. After that my daughter did unbelievably well on her program and when she finished it I was extremely impressed with how much she had changed for the better. Going to Serenity didn’t just help her get off drugs. Going there helped my daughter get her entire life together. Instead of just looking for her next fix she actually has a purpose to her life now. She’s been staying at home since finishing her program and she is working really hard on her aftercare, going to meetings and was out looking for work her second day home. She has a job now and hasn’t messed up at all there. I am continually impressed with the way she has handled everything since being home. Serenity Point Recovery gave my daughter the tools she needed to start living her life for herself.

I've never been to a treatment center with so much to offer. Such as, process groups, core programs (ACC, Native 12 Steps and Staying Quit) each program has something different to offer. A.C.C. Teaches to confront, communicate in a more effective manner and identifies buttons others can push and allows you to make those buttons flat. Native is a 12 step program that lets you get more in touch with your spirituality and has its own unique way of dealing with your past so you can move forward in a positive way. Staying Quit teaches relapse prevention. In my opinion, even those who can't identify with addiction should take an A.C.C. Course. It has taught me to improve myself in every way possible. I not only enjoyed the program but came out a stronger person and builds confidence and self esteem which most addicts have lost through their addiction. I couldn't be anymore grateful to Serenity Point Recovery. This is my 14th treatment center. I was so hopeless coming in here. I knew I wanted to be sober but I had no idea how to even begin to comprehend it was going to be possible. From the staff to the program's it is.a very unique program.

It's amazing how much better my daughter is doing since going to Serenity Point. She's really changed so much. Before she went to Serenity she didn't think she needed to go to rehab at all. My granddaughter had come to live with my husband and I and yet my daughter thought it would all be okay once she had been clean for a while. My daughter never had trouble getting clean, it was staying clean that she had trouble with and after a while my husband and I got tired of not knowing if our daughter would be coming to see her own daughter that week or if she would be getting high. We made the decision that we wouldn’t allow her to see her daughter until she had gone to a rehab program and completed it. It wasn’t a decision we made lightly but felt that if she was ever going to change and get her life back together she needed to be pushed to do it. When she got to Serenity I don’t think that she really thought she needed rehab. She was there mainly just to appease her father and I but that won’t get you very far when you’re in rehab. So, after she was there for a couple weeks and had gone through detox she decided she didn’t need to be there, didn’t want to be there and would do much better at home. The thing is, that at Serenity they have people there who have been through treatment for drug addiction themselves and so it was one of the staff members who had been through treatment that helped my daughter realize that she herself needed treatment. Not for any other reason other than she needed help. I thought if someone was trying to get her to stay they would have just said “do it for you daughter”. This person didn’t, that they really took the time to go over everything in my daughter’s life so that she could come to the realization that she needed treatment for herself and not for any other reason. After that my daughter started doing good there. She started really looking at things differently and working on just bettering her own life before anyone else’s. Of course, she still had bad days there. It’s rehab after all and not summer camp. She worked through those problems though instead of just burying them and pretending as if they didn’t exist. She came home for a couple months after she graduated from her program and the change in her appearance and demeanor were drastic to say the least. She looked healthy again and was happy. She has decided to go back to school so she can help others the same way she was helped and in the meantime she’s working at Serenity. She’s working on doing the things she needs to do in order to get her daughter back and I’m really impressed with how well she’s handling her life. It still amazes me sometimes when I see her because I’m still not quite used to seeing her looking so good.

Serenity Point Recovery is by far the best rehab I’ve ever been to. With every rehab program that I have gone to I’ve always worked the program and tried to get as much out of it that I could. It didn’t really seem to matter when I finished my program and went home. I would stay clean for a while and I would go to meetings and do the things I was supposed to be doing. After a while though it would feel like a relapse was inevitable and that I was just holding it off for as long as I could. Right from the start Serenity felt different. Getting there and starting my program, realizing how different of a place it was, for the first time it felt like I actually had a chance to beat my addiction. I actually enjoyed my time at Serenity. Sure, there were hard days and days I just wanted to quit. The staff there were so great to me during those times and that enabled me to handle whatever problems I was having and got me motivated again to complete my program. I really enjoyed the yoga classes there. It something I would have never tried in real life. I can’t believe how much it’s helped me though. Whenever I did a yoga class in the morning the rest of the day would go so much smoother. I was able to concentrate better and keep my mind focused on my program. I’ve continued to do yoga since I’ve graduated the program and it's amazing how much better my days whenever I take a yoga class in the morning. Another thing is that whenever I’ve gone to rehabs in the past, when I’ve finished my program I go home at least 10lbs overweight. It’s something that has always really bugged me. I know it’s extremely vain of me that one of my biggest problems with rehab is weight gain. It makes sense though, if I don’t feel good about my body I don’t feel good about much else. One of the things about Serenity is that they don’t just help you with your addiction. They help you with everything. Body, mind and soul. The food there is healthy and tastes great. That with the exercise I was able to do at Serenity ensured that I gained the weight I needed without becoming overweight. I was happy with my body when I graduated from Serenity and it really did help a lot when I left. For me, what made Serenity so much better than the other rehabs I’ve been to is the people working there. They care. They care about the clients that come to them for help, they care about the family of those clients. They do everything in their power to help you get your life together. Not only that but they understand as well. It isn’t someone just saying they understand what you are going through. Not all of them but a portion of the staff there have struggled with addiction themselves. It’s so much easier talking to someone who completely understands you and doesn’t judge you for the things you have done. There’s always something in your past that you don’t want to talk about or don’t feel comfortable discussing it with someone who couldn’t possibly understand why you did what you did. Having someone there that does understand; it makes you able to talk about those things and move past them. I’m extremely happy with my life right now and I owe so much to Serenity and the help I got there. I don’t feel like I’m holding a relapse off by sheer willpower alone anymore. I’m just living my life without drugs.

Talk about a stellar, quality rehab center! I went to Serenity Point Recovery for an addiction crisis that I thought I was going to have until I died. In fact, if it hadn’t been for Serenity I probably would have died from it and pretty quickly too. This was a serious and a devastating problem and for some reason I just couldn't beat it even though I and been to several rehab centers prior to this one.

There are two things about Serenity that I will mention here as being their strongest points. First of all, they offer a results based program, meaning they help each individual client to pick and choose which counseling and therapy segments to take that will work for him or her and which ones to avoid that will not work so well. Talk about a huge improvement from what we are used too! Usually most rehab centers just push one dogma and that’s it.

The second aspect to Serenity is that the length of their program is also malleable. It is not a strict, cut and dried twenty-eight day program. Oh no. They operate off a very evidence based treatment modality, and I love them for that. If you need more time, they will give you more time! I just love that about them too. It’s a great thing that they’re doing and my hat is totally off to them for it.

I myself went to this rehab over a year ago and I am truly stable and well off in my recovery. I could not have accomplished this without them though, of that I am certain. I am pleased to have found Serenity, and I would recommend this program to others too. This is a good rehab center!

I love the food choices as well , it’s very important to eat a well-balanced healthy meal while you in recovery. If you are struggling with drug problems this place is the best to go for help! I think it’s quite amazing that we live in a world where people can get help when they needed. This facility has truly helped me so much. It's very well kept the rooms are so nice they have different activities to do there while they help you through your recovery as I have said. The environment is so nice and peaceful. So if you or a love one are struggling with a drug addiction or alcohol I would check this center out. Your diet plays a big role in your mental well being. It’s pretty cool that they have a lot of activities as well it distract you and to help you relax between I love that they have the music room as I believe music can heal your soul.

I have been to every kind of rehab there is and this one is the best. My daughter went through the program at Serenity Point Recovery and she's doing really well now. Before she went to Serenity she had been on heroin for a little over a year and I couldn't see her stopping anytime soon or by herself at all. Serenity is actually the first and only rehab she's gone to but I know that they helped her more there than any other place could have. Some of the staff at Serenity have actually been through treatment themselves and it makes a bigger difference than you think. No matter what I've said to my daughter to try to help her with her addiction she just blows me off by saying that there's no way I could possibly understand what she's going through. She's right. I don't know what it's like or what she went through. The staff who have gone to treatment however do know what it's like and what she went through. She listened more to what they had to say and actually took what they said to heart. She got so much out of her program and she's doing well again.

I advise you to Google terms like "per wickstrom fraud," "best drug rehab lawsuits," "serenity point Marne, MI lawsuits..." The facility is part of a chain owned by scientologist per wickstrom who has many lawsuits against him for disguising Scientology recruit centers as rehab facilities by hiring staff with forged certifications and then "bait and switching" addicts into studying Scientology thinking that they're learning about recovery. I was a patient at this location for two weeks before I found out and got on the next plane to a different place (this was 8/20/16-9/3/16). i experienced the corruption... insurance fraud- lack of qualified help... I even found completely molded ceiling tiles throughout the building. There are many places to send your loved one- I do not recommend any of the over 100 locations affiliated with Scientology and per wickstrom. Please research.

Serenity Recovery Center is the place where everybody who needs help should go and ask for help they need. The facility is beautiful, clean and it looks so friendly. I believe at a place like Serenity the recovery does not feel that hard and once somebody complete the program that person is going to stay clean. I like that Serenity offers many different treatment. I does not have the one fit all program, i think it would never work and the whole program would be wasting time and money. Thank God Serenity knows it. So if your loved one needs help with any addiction or you know somebody you can tell about this place, please do because never know who needs help. I would highly recommend Serenity Recovery Center!

As I am reading through these reviews I notice that there aren't many, in fact none that I saw from anyone who was actually in the treatment facility. In fact, I even came across one that had a different name but appeared to be a duplicate review which seemed "odd". I would be VERY interested to hear from anyone who has actually been in the rehab since my son is there now.

As I learned about Point Rehab it`s treatment program really works for people. During my research and I have seen success videos and I have read success stories. Most of the patients said they tried other rehabs before they went to Serenity and they found this place the one. Serenity has the 12-step program and they offer many different ways to recover. Everybody can find the perfect fit for themselves. I think one of the best thing is that the patients can take their spouse to the facility and they have the opportunity to get healthy together. It`s such a great thing. Not every facility allow the people to do that. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who`s looking for a great place to go to get healthy.

I haven`t heard about Serenity Point from anyone I was just doing a research because I was interested in this subject. I have to tell that this facility seems to me one of the best. This place is so friendly it looks beautiful, clean and well kept. To me it does not look like a rehab facility it looks more like a family vacation home. I bet the patients fell like they are home. I like that the people who go there to get help can choose from different treatment programs Serenity don`t have the one-fit -all program and I think it would not work because every person has different needs. I love that the staff don`t just care about the client as a work stuff they have to do something with it they care about them as a person too I mean they care about their feelings too. This is so important that makes the facility better and more helpful. If I ever had a loved one or anybody struggle with any addiction I will send them to Serenity Point to received the help and being in good hands.

Serenity Point Recovery is such a good place to go to in you need help getting off drugs or alcohol. The place is amazing. When you get there feeling uncomfortable and uneasy in a new place the staff and even your peers really make you feel comfortable. There is a huge emphasis on patient care and immediately you start to feel less alone in your recovery. Every single person who works there from the counselor to the receptionist care about you and how you are doing each day. It isn't a fake sort of caring you can actually tell that the staff truly care about you and it makes a big difference in your recovery. The place is really nice and clean and there are tons of stuff to do during your free time. The biggest difference between Serenity and any other rehab you could go to is the care you receive. I can't emphasis it enough. It's amazing. Going through your recovery program at Serenity and with the support system you'll have there will change your life.

I would like to highly recommend Serenity Point Rehab to anyone who`s looking for a place to go and get the special help with a drug addiction. The staff at serenity really know what they`re doing and they are very careful and well trained. My friend went there after he tried other facilities that did not work for him. But finally he found Serenity and now his life`s changed and he`s happier then ever. He could not have gone to a better place than Serenity Point. So if you or your loved one need help with any addiction don`t hesitate to go to this facility and ask for help. They`ll help you!
