At Breezy Bluff the horse learning experience is extended to the rider as well as the parent or other person accompanying the student. Parents and spouses are often found riding with the new students as they learn together how to enjoy the strength, joy, and beauty of horses and mules. Each of the set of lessons is accompanied by a written horse riding lesson and each rider receives a diploma upon completion of the 10 horse lessons. With over 30 yrs in operation you can be assured of good training. At this farm we search for ways to combine natural horsemanship with traditional training to harvest the best from our horses and our riders.

My daughter and her friend had a great time! You have a great program and stable. I was very impressed by your employee Amanda. She did an awesome job in giving the lesson. She was upbeat, calm and gently encouraged the girls in what they needed to do.

We have been taking our daughter for lessons at Breezy Bluffs Riding Academy for a year now. She is 5 years old and has so enjoyed being at the barn and with the wonderful staff. They have been very supportive of her going from very enthusiastic to unsure and back again. They are very attentive and understanding.

I love that the children are taught from the being the maintenance and care for the horse as well. They learn about they equipment they need and are started in the beginning on a path of (well supported) self sufficiency and responsibility.

We would recommend Breezy Bluffs to anyone!

If you’re looking for crummy, overpriced “horseback riding lessons” then look no further! Breezy Bluff is the perfect place for you. Where “lessons” are an hour long and not a second more. You even get to get off ten minutes before your hour is up because unsaddling counts as part of your hour! Grooming and saddling counts, too! So if you get a dirty horse, you’ll only be riding for five minutes! If you can’t make a lesson due to an emergency or whatever reason, you still have to pay for your lesson. Isn’t it great? :)
Learn how to groom a horse, but not pick its feet, like all horsemen! Want to have your kid cry? Look no further, because this place is all the rage in making kids cry!
Tired of kids snitching and tattling? Boy, do I have news for you! Kids and parents snitch and tattle!
The horses here are so perfectly safe in their pens. There’s glass and axes and wire and machinery they can use to scare off any predators that may come at them! They get to live like true wild horses without shelter and moldy hay! And leaves and goo in their water too! In the winter, it freezes over and left that way so the horses feel like they’re truly wild and free! They even burn logs so the horses can pretend they’re running from a wildfire. They really do care!
You get to ride in circles and do nothing fun at all! The instructor just stands there and tells you what to do. Awesome, right?
Want to go to horse shows? Then this place isn’t for you! They only have shows at the farm, and it costs more than it would if you were to go to another horse show!
Want to ride in a parade? Sure! That’ll be $60! Cheap, right!?
Want drama? Great! There’s so much drama here, I’m surprised they haven’t made a TV show about it yet!

Short version: Some very nice horses, a good instructor named Cherri, okay for beginners, but there are definitely better options with better facilities and more well-cared for horses.

Details: Horses in halters 24/7 with bald spots and abrasions on noses from rubbing. Never seen hooves picked in 14 classes. Winter/Spring standing in inches of manure and muck. Miscommunications between both instructors and clients. Lost payments and failure to accept responsibility for lack of communication with scheduling changes (showed up for lessons twice at appointed times to be told they had moved us to a later time...would not refund because I didn't cancel more than 48 hours in advance even though it was their lack of communication...I was there for my scheduled lesson, just could not do the later time. Final straw to leave this stable)

I am the owners grandson and I have been around this farm my whole life. I would like to say that all the negative things said about our family farm in the October review is completely false. We do nothing but the best for our animals and our students.
