We have purchased a lot of items and had our bird groomed there. Other than the unfriendly staff (Nancy excluded) we thought they would be a good place to board our bird. Wrong! Our bird had a dirty cage and filthy water upon our return. The "small" requests we had were not followed and there was a small dog wondering around the store. We won't go back ever!

This place is awesome the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and have a real passion for what they do. The birds are well cared for and they have a large variety, many of which are difficult to find anywhere else. Hands down the best store in the Phoenix area.

Az Bird Shop in Mesa is cruel. I saw bleeding birds, a bird on the floor in bad shape and large birds in cages with smaller ones. Never go there! Birds were in poor feather and condition, and the staff did not seem to care when I alerted them to a bleeding goffins in one of the cages. Blood was visibly dripping from its wings.
