I am a huge fan of Nielsen's Custard in Bountiful, UT! This is not the same. I was recently in Bountiful and had Nielsen's at two different locations. They were the BEST! I dont know what they used here at the Mesa location for cookie dough, but it tasted awful. Most of my $5 concrete went into the trash as well as my friends. It is a shame.

Very expensive and quality is just okay. They don't know what a turtle sundae is. Being from WI where frozen custard stands abound, your better off with Culver's and Freddie's.

My wife's FAVORITE "must visit" place when visiting the Phoenix area. We lived about 1 1/2 miles from the Gilbert & Southern location when our youngest son was born in 1989 and I made more midnight trips for their Strawberry Concrete than I can remember. That was her BIGGEST craving. We're now snowbirds spending our winters back in Arizona but near the western end. We still make at least 2 or 3 special trips back to Mesa each winter for her Strawberry Concrete.

Nielsens custard i Super stuff, very addicting and very good, the best we have eaten anywhere. Try it!
