I am a physician excited about partnering with patients to optimize their health. I am also interested in helping patients understand their medical problems so that they do not feel confused about their medications or treatment plans. I can care for patients of all ages! I have wanted to be a physician for as long as I can remember. I loved my childhood pediatrician and told my parents that I wanted to become a pediatrician just like him. During medical school I realized that I also loved adult medicine, so I decided to specialize in both internal medicine and pediatrics. My approach to patient care is that I will partner with my patients to improve and maintain their health. I will use my medical knowledge to make recommendations on the best treatment plan, but also to teach patients about their medical problems so that they feel empowered. I have special interests in comprehensive weight management, lifestyle medicine, maternal health, and caring for children and adults dealing with complex medical conditions and special needs. Outside of work, I am very involved at my church and I love spending time with friends and family. My husband and I love being active outdoors. We especially enjoy the beach.
