We used him for over 15 years to care for our multiple cats over the years. Because of having 3 or more cats at a time, it helped so much to have a vet visit for checkups, rather than hauling cat carriers. As stated in other reviews, he was very gentle and always took extra time to help make our cats feel less anxious. I had one cat who liked him so much, he would take a flying jump from the floor to his shoulders. When one of our cats developed hyperthyroidism, he was very thorough in explaining treatment options and the cost and benefits of the two treatment options. When it's come time to put one of our animals to sleep, he first administers an anti-anxiety shot before stressing the animal out with dying. He allowed us alone time to grieve before taking our cat to be cremated. The only reason why I'm not using him now is that I've moved out of his service area.

Dr. Ruotsinoja is by far the most compassionate, kindest vet I have ever had for my pets.Today my beloved Josie, suffering from kidney failure was euthanized. Dr. R could not have been kinder to my sometimes cantankerous little feline. She did not suffer but went gently into death.Thank you so much for caring for her in her last illness.

Dr. Ruotsinoja has helped keep my 16 year old kitty happy and healthy many times. Jasmine, my cat, doesn't travel well and having home care certainly helps her stress level when she doesn't feel good. Dr. Ruotsinoja is patient and very gentle with both kitty and with talking to to Mom :).

Our family dog was ailing over a period of several months. Dr. Ruotsinoja was understanding about our concerns, our waffling on her health and her hospice care. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful person to help us through the incredibly difficult time. We decided he is our number one choice in vets and our animals agree!

Dr. Ruotsinoja is an excellent practitioner, and he is distinguished in his kind, gentle demeanor that puts timid animals and anxious at ease. What could be better than on-going care in your home? I highly recommend Dr. Ruotsinoja.

We called Dr Ruotsinoja to put our 17 year old Golden down comfortably at home and were so impressed by his compassion and thoroughness we retained him for the care of our two cats.
