The owner of this business stole $450 of my tax return. He told me that he needed my information to be able to tell me how much he would charge to file my taxes. I had to ask him how much he would charge several times. When he finally replied, he said HE would get my check in a few days. I never told him to file my taxes! When I picked up the check, I discovered that he had my tax return direct deposited into HIS account, the check he gave me was not an IRS check and the check was $450 LESS than I was supposed to have gotten back. I also noticed that he had entered deductions on the tax return which I was not eligible for. I came to find that he charges a percentage of the refund and that he had entered the bogus deductions so he would get more money. I had to file an amendment to my tax return to avoid being audited by the IRS.
