Handyman Ray excels in taking a project plan from a rough sketch to a finished project, and picking the right materials. He takes on projects from one day to several weeks.



These are the projects he did in our 1947 home:



Replaced interior doors and installed bi-fold closet doors.



Installed bamboo and porcelain tile flooring.



Installed tile ceiling.



Designed and constructed wood corner cabinet for electric fireplace.



Installed cork flooring with oak bullnose edging on open staircase with new ballusters and railing.



Repaired patio deck.



Installed new ceiling and wall materials to transform screened porch from storage room to an attractive and useful room.



Activated ice maker in new appliance.



The largest project was a basement kitchen remodel that transformed a storage room to a functional and attractive kitchen. Work included leveling cabinets, installing new countertop, sink, and faucets. Cabinets were modified to accommodate some replacement vintage hardware and a dishwasher addition. One new cabinet was constructed to hold cookbooks, and several new doors were added to complete the built-in look, along with making a shallow spice cabinet in the wall. Pull out drawers and tip out trays were added to the cabinets to make the contents more accessible. Open shelving was installed to add pantry storage.



Handyman Ray is good to reuse existing materials and flexible enough to allow the home owner to participate in the project. I painted my kitchen cabinets and gave them a whole new look with a new color and moulding installed by Handyman Ray.
