The Building Maintenance Division maintains more than 90 city facilities and over 130 dune walkovers at street ends along the beach. The division is a part of the Cultural and Leisure Services department, which is governed by The City of Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. It offers carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting services. In addition, Building Maintenance Division provides on-call assistance programs. The Cultural and Leisure Services department also manages Chapin Memorial Library and Whispering Pines Golf Course. The department s parks division is responsible for the maintenance of trees and shrubs on highway medians. It provides litter control services for several heavily traveled areas in the city.
