Loren Behm now works for LP Home Concepts & Design. We were required to use him as part of the purchase agreement of our home - his bid amount was in line with the sellers wishes. I strongly advise against using this person for any work whatsoever. I would not only never recommend this person, I felt compelled to write a review to save anyone else the headache and unprofessionalism I experienced with this individual. Let me provide a couple highlights:

-Bid Confusion: Although the bid included painting, labor, and installation, I was required to stain the beams myself and prep them, which I do not mind doing - that just wasn't part of the bid.

-Poor execution: 1)This person used a nail gun through my roof shingles to secure the beams without caulking or waterproofing the resultant holes. This is rudimentary knowledge in my opinion, I'm glad I had a ladder to check because I would never have known. 2) Beam cuts were all over the place and are inconsistent throughout the job, a little care could have been taken to provide a finished look for an entryway - if a shortcut could be taken, it was. 3) Sizable gaps, due to poor cuts, were left open to the outside for bugs, bees, birds, and moisture to enter the house and it is up to me to figure out how to fix it. 4) Refused to caulk anything, leaving it to me to do, exposing installed beams and facia to weather until it can be finished.

-General unprofessionalism: 1) The ladders used were not protected and scraped up our newly installed windows - again a little care goes a long way. 2) Stain spilled over flashing was not wiped off. 3) Work area was not cleaned up. 4) Used my trash can (filled to the top) instead of hauling off any waste, again not a big deal, just unprofessional.

Proceed at your own risk, I am now left to fix this mess myself but at least I know it will be done right.
