He began his career in the air conditioning field working as a technical representative for the General Electric Company. After Trane acquired the General Electric Company, Tom worked as a sales representative for Trane. After leaving Trane, Tom worked for Arizona Public Service repairing their air conditioning equipment before starting Savage Air Conditioning in 1988.
