The Freeman Southwest Family YMCA is a nonprofit, human services organization that serves Newton and McDonald counties in southwest Missouri. Located in Neosho, Mo., the organization promotes Christian principles and offers a variety of aquatic and health and fitness programs for children, teenagers, adults and senior citizens. Opened in 1996, it provides preschool and child care programs for children between the ages of 2 and 6. The Freeman Southwest Family YMCA s Childwatch program serves children between the ages of 6 weeks and 7 years. The organization supports several sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball and karate. Its facilities include an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, gymnasium, exercise studio, racquetball courts, and game and locker rooms.
