I was terrified of the dentist from prior experiences. But the problems and the pain grew as I kept putting it off. My parents have had incredible success with NYU doctors, so they insisted that I call their Physicians Referral Service for a dentist. Dr. Fassman was their most highly regarded recommendation; he has been on staff at NYU Medical Center as well as having a Faculty appointment at their medical school, since the 1990's. I was impressed. I wish I had met him years ago! I have never experienced such personal concern and care from any doctor or their staff. From the welcoming phone call before our appointment, to the way he explained each issue and recommended treatment, (with choices), to the actual dental work, to explaining in detail what to expect after the visit, and finally, to be able to smile, and eat without pain. He even took the extra time to explain my insurance, which I never could understand. I wish I had met him sooner- He is the best!
