BARDO is defined as the time of existence after death and before rebirth as life occurs in stages. Looking at the symbols, notice the small circle that represents a seedling or birth. As the seedling grows; it stands tall, symbolizing life. The growth rests horizontal, indicating death. The martini glass (your spirit) represents your present existence - awaiting rebirth. Come enjoy your life at BARDO, and leave with a sense of rebirth. We serve lunch Mon - Fri beginning at 11 AM and are open for dinner 7 days a week from 5 PM to 2 AM. Currently feeding two of the seven cities, check out our other unique place to eat, drink, or hang out. If you are interested in hosting a business or personal function at Bardo, please call or email us and we will be happy to discuss the particulars with you.

Very special place

This is a very unusual restaurant with a very unusual menu. It's a wee bit whimsical (a $1 chicken option is actually an egg), a wee bit mystical with Asian tints, and a whole lotta tasty! Be adventurous an choose several of the small plate specials. Pass them around the table. Yes, bring your friends -- this is a good spot for group dining where everyone tries everything. But it also has an ambiance that lends itself to a romantic dining experience for 2. I love this place. It's almost enough to make me want to return to Norfolk (well -- let's not get TOO carried away!).

Still fresh and wonderful

Bardo has been around a while but I heard they had a new chef so we headed there from VB. Wow was it worth the drive. Our service was good, she was friendly but not overly knowledgeable, but the food was just amazing. My wife and I had the thai flavored edamame, caesar salad, shrimp bottle rockets, filet, grilled bison, and a few others. It was truly outstanding. We won’t wait so long before our return visit.

What are you thinking?

This place is NOT worth for the momey.

It's really bad taste of interior - there are no respect of

Buddhism and no deep thoughts of

Asian culture at all."IF" foods were good, maybe I might re-consider to

try again, but there's nothing I found remark or even just something I found "New".It's pretty bad copy of many places has been already offerd decades ago.
