Those two passions came together to a career in medicine, he says.A native of central Illinois, Dr. Beaty completed his undergraduate degree at Illinois Wesleyan University. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and completed his pediatric residency at OSF Healthcare St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.Dr. Beatys scope of practice will include patients from birth through college, and his team focuses on providing a laid-back family and child-centered care experience.When it comes to my job, I most enjoy my interactions with my patients and their families, says Dr. Beaty.Dr. Beaty likes to be outdoors in his free time, primarily hunting and fishing.
