J. D. McCarty Center provides treatment and care of children with developmental disabilities. It was founded in 1946 and is located in Norman, Okla. It provides a wide range of therapeutic services, including aquatic therapy; augmentive communication; and physical, occupational and speech therapies. It also provides sensory integration, comprehensive evaluations and psychological services. It provides several specialists services, such as pediatricians, pediatric dentists, orthopedists and ophthalmologists. The center also offers various clinic facilities, which include wheelchair seating and mobility, dental, orthopedic, vision, neurology and behavior clinics. It offers specialized services, including respite care, independent living training and school-related services. J. D. McCarty Center also offers a conference room for hosting meetings and special events.
