Dr. John Stamas received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 1988. He then went on to perform research at the Kennedy Krieger Institute for children with metabolic diseases. Dr. Stamas graduated in 1994 from the University of Maryland Dental School with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and has been committed to the art and science of dentistry ever since.With an emphasis on cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry, Dr. Stamas is committed to continuing education and makes every effort to be at the forefront of his profession. With his reputation drawing patients from all around the east coast, Dr. Stamas was named one of the Top Dentist in Baltimore Magazine.Dr. Stamas takes pride in using the latest technological advances including digital scanning of teeth for computer-aided modeling of crowns, bridges, partials, and implant restorations. Computer simulations of proposed cosmetic treatment are performed for a more comprehensive understanding of treatment before work is done. Dr. Stamas has expanded his practice beyond what is typical of a general dentist and works alongside the best specialists in the area. He enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending time with his wonderful wife of 22 years, Maria, and their three beautiful daughters.
