Allen Parish Libraries  was founded in the year 1957.  Over the years, the Allen Parish Libraries has grown to include 3 branches: (Oberlin, Oakdale, & Kinder).  In addition, we also have a van outreach route that services the rural communities, nursing homes, and prisons.  The first branch was established in Oakdale, La in 1957.  Our headquarters is located in Oberlin, La.  The libraries provide a huge selection of books, magazines, newspapers, DVD's, audio collections, and research materials.  We also provide internet access at each of our library branches.  Our goal is to provide excellent service to our patrons.  We cordially invite you to visit one of our branches to meet our friendly staff and see the many opportunities at the Allen Parish Libraries.  See You Soon!!
