OUR PHILOSOPHY: The philosophy of Classical Ballet School is to facilitate learning in such a way that every student may achieve her/his maximum potential. Our high artistic standards are tempered by a positive, encouraging and enthusiastic learning environment. OUR HERITAGE: Founded in 1978 by Kay Sandel, Classical Ballet School offers professional instruction in classical Russian ballet technique for students of all ages. Drawing on her heritage from teachers Roman Jasinski and Moscelyne Larkin (Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo), Kay Sandel is passing on a firm foundation in classical training through our new Director, Julie Bierne. OUR SCHOOL: Located in northwest Oklahoma City and convenient to Edmond and Deer Creek, Classical Ballet School was specifically built for dance and has a beautiful, brightly lit, spacious studio with a sprung floor covered in a nonslip dance surface for the safety of the dancers. OUR DANCERS: Students of Classical Ballet School have performed in local professional performances and have been accepted into many of the most prestigious programs throughout the country, including School of American Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, Boston Ballet, North Carolina School of the Arts, Kirov Academy, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Magnificat, Tulsa Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Harid Conservatory, San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and National Ballet of Canada.
