I am curious as to why you were embarrassed to enter the store? I have been to several Aldis and have never felt embarrassed there. Every time I shop there I save 40%+ on my grocery bill compared to the chain grocers in the area and I almost always find everything I need. The quality of the food there is on par with the other grocers at well and I have actually found many items that my family prefers over the name brand ones. I am sorry that you did not research the store before you shopped there to find out about the bags, but really that is only a minor inconvenience and no different then shopping at COSTCO or Sams. Also, You do not lose your $0.25 deposit for the cart, you must simply return the cart and place the key back into the cart to get your money back...even my 2 year old knows how to get the quarter back from the grocery cart. As for you losing your card and receipt, that sounds like a personal problem and not that of Aldi's.

This is the worst store ever!! I was humiliated in there store, I lost the card I bought the groceries with, lost the receipt THERE IS NO PHONE TO CALL THEM ON ! I had to send my sister looking for my card because I was so humiliated I swore to myself I would never enter the store agian plus you have to leave a 25 cent deposit to use a cart AND they do not give any bags you have to bting your own or buy either paper or cloth bags or use little boxes, and I WILL NEVER ENTER THIS STORE EVER AGIAN I HAVE HAD IT I AM DONE!

The prices are outstanding and we love the products. Many of them we prefer over brand names. The employees are helpful and friendly.
