I just renewed my lease. I heard complaints from other tenants about the former management. The new mgmt. has maintenance people around on a regular basis, the laundry room and hallways are kept clean. I have seen a better quality of tenant recently too.

They don't even deserve a star. What everyone is saying is true. They have one job to do and they can't even do a good job at it. there is no light in the stair way of my apartment so at night you have to bring a flashlight just walk up to my door. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen!!!!!

I wish I would have NEVER HEARD OF STRUNSEE PROPERTYS!!! They are by far the worst people I've ever dealt with, I moved In in may 2015 and after being sick this whole time (now oct) just found out that there is black mold under our bath walls and the downstairs people had their whole bathroom tore out due to black mold and the guy they had tearing apart it all told us he needed to come up and do ours also as he found it going up and was so bad that we should not be in the place , he then told us that he told strunsee that it was going to cost alot to get it all out the right way and that he did not want to leave it or do a half a**job .....well needless to say after him telling us they said that the two apt tenants were going to be charged for this job, we didn't see him again! They had another guy come and throw it b acknowledge together. Well as I was saying before...they are EXTREMELY RUDE AND DO NOT EVEN TRY TO WORK WITH YOU, as I was told by my doctor I needed to leave the apartment due to my allergy to mold and having copd it was just going to makeep my breathing problems permanently worse ,but they have you by the balls once ur in and signed lease.so here we sit with a 3 br apt and can't use 1 cuz there is no heat duct and they said oh well not their prob ,also ended up buying a air purifier @500.00 just so I can even be in the place . And finding a different place while ur still here is horrible, cuz not only are we losing money from being sick and can't work some days and them charging you for any and everything they can come up with ur broke and can't afford to pay for another deposit and rent . We have been charged for the sewer backing up and how is that our fault that they have old shot that isn't maintained! I would love to get as many people with the bad problems and got screwed by them together and go to court!

The price I pay to live in an establishment such as this is ridiculous. I would assume this building wasn't made by professionals because nothing matches up, the doors have three inch gaps from the ground. On top of that, they will not plow or shovel until almost a day after it has STOPPED snowing. They don't even do a good job, so everything ices over. Most of the week I can't even park in the back of my apartment because both of my reserved spots are taken. I only have one car, so this shouldn't be happening. After calling and talking to a rude "manager" who hung up on me, I called the towing company and police myself. Clearly they were not going to take care of the problem, and unfortunately I couldn't either. The towing companies need to see tickets before they tow and the police need apartment authority there to ticket. I cannot believe this is where I picked to start my life as a renter, because this is the worst company in the area.

If I could give Struensee Properties a negative score, I would. Here are some examples of how incompetent these people are:



They do not respond to your calls in a timely manner, if at all! After several requests to have our FRONT DOOR fixed (the latch was not secure, so we couldn't even lock our own apartment) we did not get a single response. We ended up fixing it ourselves. Same thing for our toilet that broke.



Good luck getting your security deposit back when you move out of your hell hole apartment. We got charged over $100 for 3 "burnt-out" lightbulbs - which was a lie on Struensee's part because we thoroughly checked the apartment before we moved out.



They do not screen people before letting them move in. We had legit CRACK DEALERS living in a downstairs unit. Around 2-3 a.m. on most nights, the dealers would wait in their running van in the parking lot of our complex to deal. We witnessed everything. The police were soon involved and a raid took place. Seriously.



I could go on... Please save yourself the trouble and don't give these people your money! They make a living off cheating people out of money and should not be in business. I don't know how the people who own/work for this company can even live with themselves.

To Struensee you are but a number on a page. Even moving into the apartments on Cherry you can see that they are not clean places. You never see your landlords and rarely see maintenance people either.

The rent is overpriced the buildings are small, the plowing is poor and slow(a good 3inches gets compacted in the parking lot that just sits all winter) Parking passes are rarely enforced and the trash areas are poorly maintained.

We haven't received our electric bill since Nov, again poor management. Often times repairs are slow and they try to charge for normal wear and tear.

There are better landlords around campus for cheaper and have better deals. Only go with Struensee if you are desperate for a place to live, there is a reason they can't rent out all of their Cherry apartments. Can't wait to see how much they try to charge out of our deposit.

Struensee properties is a horrible company. Ever wonder why their signs are plastered all over Oshkosh? Because they take advantage of naive new renters and squeeze every last dime out of them to buy new property rather than repair "supposed" damages to the property, letting it run to the ground. When we moved in the place was a mess: Sticky, trash everywhere, and the carpet was disgusting (if you could call that piece of sandpaper glued down to a cement floor a carpet.) I was a complete fool for trusting them to make the place nice by the time I moved in. Now they want to charge me for cleaning the crap that was there when I moved in.

They harbor criminals, and I had to listen to the drug dealers I share a side by side duplex wall with abuse their children and scream drunken threats at me for moving in next to them. Did Struensee care at all about someone calling them up and leaving a message at 4 in the morning (multiple times) concerned for their safety? They didn't even return my calls, nor did they care about the police reports I filed.



DO NOT RENT FROM STRUENSEE. It's not worth the money, headache, and trouble. I hope this gets to people before they make the same mistake we did.

We rented with these people for much too long. They shut off the heat way too early and turn it on way to late during the year. According to the Oshkosh Building Inspector, they're not even supposed to be doing this. When our dishwasher started making loud grinding noises, they told us to "run it until it dies", but when asked if I could have it in writing, they said no. If you're moving out, watch it because they like to charge you for every tiny thing whether you had it on your sign in sheet or not. Also, they cannot legally charge you for carpet cleaning (even if it's in your lease) unless the carpets are beyond normal wear and tear!
