Yes, it's true. We've started a Lavender Farm in Port Murray, NJ. Our mission is to create an oasis of peace and tranquility where the heavenly scent of lavender and the picturesque rows of purples, blues and pinks will take away the stress of life and replace it with a sense of serenity and wellbeing. We are committed to growing our lavender using organic methods without the use of chemical pesticides and herbicides. In May of 2015 we planted approximately 1300 plants. It is our goal to continue growing our farm each year. We currently have several cultivars of English, French and Spanish Lavenders. Lavender typically takes 3-5 years to fully mature and can get as tall as 50" and some taller depending on the cultivar. While our lavenders are still considered babies, they do produce beautiful blooms. We hope to grow our farm into a favorite destination where visitors can cut your own and visit our lavender farm stand. We offer a variety of natural, handmade lavender products including bath and body products, sachets, wreaths, teas, unique lavender themed gifts and home and garden decor and of course, lavender bundles both fresh and dry as well as lavender buds. We have recently installed two honey bee hives which will allow us to offer pure natural honey. In the meantime, we have a yummy organic honey infused with lavender. If you've never tried it, that alone is worth the trip. And, let's not forget fresh eggs from the City Girl Flock. Our farm is the idyllic setting for artists and photographers to capture the beauty of the lavender field and our beautiful surroundings.
