Dr. Justin Schwartz, originally from Cape Town, South Africa, immigrated to Florida in 1985. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida in 1998. In 2002, he graduated the University of Florida College of Dentistry.Dr. Schwartz continued his studies at Boston University. After receiving three years of advanced training in surgery, in 2005, he graduated with a Master of Science degree in Microbiology and a Certificate of Periodontology.Dr. Schwartz has been practicing dentistry since 2002 and has practiced with Dr. Schamback since 2008. He is an expert in implant placement and gum surgery.Dr. Schwartz views dentistry as an amazing field that is tremendously varied and that presents many stimulating challenges on a daily basis. He enjoys analyzing each case, trying to provide a solution, and enabling his patients to improve their quality of life. He says, It is very important that I stand by my work, and that I am able to provide treatment that is effective for many years, if not a lifetime.Each year, Dr. Schwartz participates in continuing education to keep current with the multitude of areas within the dental profession, including facial pain, medical management, advanced life support, implantology, and intravenous sedation.In his spare time, Dr. Schwartz enjoys reading. He loves a long read, especially a series that allows time to really get to know the characters and identify with their successes or failures. He also builds and flies model airplanes. He views the fun of piloting a remote jet fighter replica or gentle glider as a mental challenge and a fantastic diversion.
