Jennybird Speech & Language is here for you! My approach to speech therapy celebrates a child’s strengths and individuality, supports a family’s values and needs, and delivers intervention plans for children and teens to grow and thrive. Too often, speech and language services take a deficit-based approach, looking to change or “fix” something in order to make an individual appear more typical. In contrast, my practice is rooted in an understanding that neurodiversity is natural. I support authentic communication through skill building, self-advocacy, education, and removing barriers that a neurotypical world places on neurodivergent communication and verbal diversity.
