Benedetto's is the place for local outdoor entertainment and affordable food. Their outdoor seating it great for casual dining and to watch sunset.

Benedetto's has an extensive menu and the prices are more than fair. However, the food isn't very good. Steaks are okay; sometimes quite good when they are cooked correctly. The prime rib is a very good piece of meat if you can get it cooked to your request. Rare was just about raw on one occasion. Burgers are okay. Lobsters appear to be cooked twice or overcooked. Texture is the giveaway. Veggies, including baked potatoes are not good at all. Portions are huge. Only a few indoor tables give you a view of the water. Unless you are at one of those few indoor tables, or outside on the porch, it's dark and uninviting. Service is typically mediocre.

After reading some of the former reviews we almost didn't go there to dine. But after reading some of the favorable ones we decided to give it a try. We were IMPRESSED with the food, service and price. We live about 40 miles away but will be returning as well be taking some of our house guest when they are visiting. Bill

Have been attending monthly with my college group, and have always had a good meal, until Tuesday, April 21. I ordered the baked/broiled salmon fillet off the Early bird menu. It was too dry to eat, even though a butter sauce had been poured over it. Our waiter was so busy, everyone at our table would have eaten by the time I had made a compalint to him, so I let it go. Brought it home to my kitty-cats, and they turned their noses up at it!!This has never happened before to me.

The 5:00 p.m. sitting for Easter Sunday, was to say the least, a total disappointment. It was so hot and humid in the restaurant, that 2 people in our party literally got ill. When we went up to get some turkey for a child there were only shavings left. When we tried again, a little later, it was still the same. We were all totally disappointed, and it certainly was not worth the price.

No interest in their customers, rude, moderately good food, poor service

First time there. Went on a Saturday night. Great service, very prompt and nice waiter! Husband had 16 oz prime rib for $11.95!!! It was fabulous, I mean ... REALLY fabulous. I had two 4-oz lobster tails for $17.95. Soooo pretty there and then sat outside at palapa bar and enjoyed the sunset over Charlotte Harbor, (and a few more drinks!) We are taking mom there for a late Mother's Day treat when she visits next month. Not sure about the bad reviews here - everything about the night was terrific and everyone else seemed to be having a great time too. Saw A LOT of steaks on the tables too! Too good of a deal to pass up!

We went to this restaurant on a Sunday night and had a reservation for 7:00pm. We arrived at 7:05 and had to wait in line like everyone else. I guess reservations are meaningless. We went inside and only half the tables were filled, so why the wait? No employees it looked like from my observation.A patron stops by our table on his way out and says "I hope you guys are not in a hurry!" I didn't even know this person but he was right, the service was horrible and slow.I ordered a 9oz, Fillet Mignon and it was the size of a small canned biscuit. I would guess it closer to 4-5 oz. Not only that but it was full of gristle. Everything was cold and tasteless. The lobster tall was a bad joke, we will not be back again, it was a terrible experience.

By far, Benedetto's has the best food I' ve ever had. My family was very impressed with the food, the drinks, the atmosphere and the wonderful service we received. Each of our party ordered something different, passed the plates and sampled several dishes and desserts! Wow! The filet was tender and delicious and cooked to perfection, the salmon was out of this world, the pasta alfredo was definitely from scratch, plus all the sides were heavenly and the desserts - what can I say, they were to die for! The adults in our party who enjoy cocktails - they informed me that the best bartenders made perfect drinks. We enjoyed our dining experience. This is definitely the best restaurant in Florida!!! We have returned many, many times and will continue to in the future. Absolutely & strongly reccommended.

I was so pleased, I recommended it for our company Christmas dinner and it went extremely well.

I just want to say we got there at 5 pm and didn't walkout until 7:40 pm. The service was extremely slow. Name skipped over the seating list several times. I would have to say it was one of the worse experiences I ever had in a restaurant!!

The service at times is slow but the food is always great.
