I pursued a career in heart surgery driven by the allure of challenging and rewarding work. I believe this profession offers the unique privilege of participating in profoundly significant moments for patients. It's an honor to be entrusted with such critical responsibility. I often reflect on how I, or someone I love, would want to be cared for during their most vulnerable times. My surgical practice encompasses all areas of adult cardiac surgery except pediatric and transplant. I find particular satisfaction in mitral valve reconstruction due to its potential to preserve natural heart function by avoiding the need for artificial valves. When not in the operating room, I enjoy playing golf when possible and cherish spending time with my wife and son.
